Thought maybe Marchand hyper extended his tongue, guess he wasn't trying hard enough |

I know Jason Strudwick touched base on the local show the other day, but he was quite scared for Backes. Is wondering if his family pressures him into retirement. It's one thing to get concussed from a dirty hit, but Struds felt that was a hit that he had all the time and that if you are getting concussed that easily you should be thinking things over.
Sad to see something like that go down.
Lots of respect to the guys with groin injuries. Might've been the most annoying injury I ever had. Feel fine forget you are hurt, then something as simple as getting off the toilet or going up stairs and you are crippled. |

If I was in the Bruins front office I'd be pretty concerned with Backes,He's had his bell severely rung more times than I'd be comfortable with. With all we now know about concussions there has to be a point where the player says enough is enough. |

It was a real interesting discussion on our local radio about what can the league start doing, as once a guy is cleared can you really prevent him from playing? Struds was hoping at the very least he'd do the Crosby and sit himself out longer than what doctors said |

I think you guys are right, my opinion is that Backes should either retire or go to Robidas island. The guy was clearly out of gas in the playoffs and I think that definitely contributed to that hit. He’s really putting himself at risk at this point |

Bruin fans..you wouldn't want to do that considering Bergeron is 32. Matthews being only 20 could evolve in a "Bruins" type player easily. Remember Cam Neely. |

McAvoy right now could be considered just as big of a prospect as Matthews though.
Charlie was out there playing against the best players for 25+ minutes this playoff. Auston was being sheltered from the Bruins top lines.
We have a ton of offensive prospects already plus hes going to want like 8-10 million per year after watching McDavid and Draisaitl make bank. I dont think the Bruins would do it. I cant believe leaf fans are already actually talking about trading Matthews. |

him retiring would be the best thing that could happen for the team, that would also free up a lot of cap space too.
Think the senators would consider a package that included Krejki for Karlson? Unlikely they would trade with bruins anyway, but what the heck, off season dreams, right? |

Not an easy name to spell.
But Bz have what... 3 years left at 7.25 mil, that's a big # for him, also probably why no one would take him in a trade. - 77emac77
Krejci is a tough one. I love the player but that contract is a PC special if I’ve ever seen one. I think he’s still a quality 2C but he’s not worth his cap hit. The B’s would have to give something up to shed his salary. I don’t see anyway the B’s move him without being worse for it. The team has some flexibility now so I think he should stick around.
